about

Oases is the debut album of Canada-based musician Jeremy Janzen, written and recorded from 2003-2016 and released in December 2016.

The album is instrumental electronica, with a variety of additional styles that come into play in various tracks. Title track Oases blends complex blended layers with a traditional harp melody; Lighthouse shows off a soundtrack aesthetic to build an entire scene with only sound; Counter-Productive uses multiples melodies in a smooth, almost pop manner. Discover the lush melodies and complex tones behind Oases today!

Jeremy says this about the album:
"I was influenced by a variety of music while writing the album. Much of my musical taste at that time (and still!) veers towards video-game soundtracks, and so I was very much influenced by Alexander Brandon (Deus Ex),(Kenji Yamamoto (Metroid Prime) and Yasunori Mitsuda (Xenogears). Thanks so much for listening to the album!"
